Laura Bear's Venice Beach photo diary

 Last month I ventured to LA to do a few photoshoots. Sure work went well and it was fun.. but the biggest treat of my trip was the house I rented.
Have you guys ever used Air BnB? Well I HIGHLY recommend it.
And if you are going to LA and would like to stay in Venice Beach, Wardy's home is most definitely the best choice out there...
here are a few of my snaps while I was there...

 Morning run's down to the beach was one of may favorites. The canals.. oh the canals <3

 One of the best things about renting a house rather than staying in a hotel is that you can comfotably have friends over for Pizza and wine...
 so much better than meeting at a noisy bar! And if you do go to a noisy bar... sleepover!! See my love Jackie in the corner there? :)

 ok ok so it wasn't all rainbows and kittens, I did have to do SOMe work while I was there... :)
My friend and her mom are opening a bakery and we were going to shoot cookies in her kitchen...
but I convinced her to come over to my rental ... the cute little kitchen made for a lovely place to bake and shoot...
mmmm... pumpkin chocolate chip cookies.... more on that shoot later.

all in all three thumbs up for Air BnB and for Wardell's lovely home! Thanks Wardy! Can't wait to come back!

Laura Bear did the research...

well, I knew it was coming. I thought I could pretend the brisk nights were "just like a cold desert night"... but alas it is here.
It snowed last night and toto we ain't in LA anymore.
So I figured I would give you a quick winter jacket round up, as I have done my research loves... for both him and her....
This zara one is not worth the money. I bought it and returned it... It will not be warm enough.
So I went with a fancy wool one from JCrew... it is fantastic. Cute and worth the flow. They just had a sale.. you missed it... but they will have others. dont worry.
I also really like this puffer one from JCrew. Plus use code MUSTHAVE for 25% off sale items.. that makes it way cheap. go.. get it.

This LL Bean one for Men is the best down jacket out there right now. Trust. from Patagonia to Columbia, we tried them all and that one wins.
If they don't have your size, call a store and ask them to search for it. They will and they will ship it to you. His came from Pennsylvania.

So there ya go... that is my fall research that is now being put into full effect.
