Girl Sleep Over Tent Camping Party - 6 year old and Caticorn Theme!

My baby girl. She is 6!

Ila-baby-bear.jpg

Ila wanted to have a sleepover for her 6th birthday party, at first requesting to invite all of her friends from school, ha. But we shrunk it down to 3 friends and turned it into a girly sleepover wonderland.

I had so much fun planning this!

The tents were an easy 2 hour project of cheap roofing wood from home depot. They are sold in packs of 12 pieces for $4.95. Plus 1/2” dowels. We followed these directions, here , but cut them down to 31” long, as the dowels, that came 48”, seemed too long for their little 6 year old selves and too big for our tiny Santa Monica Bungalow living room #smallliving lol

Ila wanted the theme to be Caticorn - aka - Cat Unicorn <3

I really took that and ran with it. See links to all the goodies below.

Wood for the tents is this and this.

The curtains (here) we simply fed through one of the bottom dowels and draped it over the top.
I draped some battery powered moon string lights (here) over each tent and found the cutest little dream catchers that light up to go with it.

I tossed down these fluffy pink rugs (here) for the girls to sleep on and a pillow case (here) for them to color while they watched a movie.

It’s not a sleepover without midnight snacks so I found these cute unicorn zipper bags (here) and filled one with snacks and the other with hair clips (here), nail polish (here) and a bracelet (here).
They also had sleep masks (here), and a spa headband (here) to go with the spa stuff :)

Lastly a water bottle and a caticorn clip board (here) filled with unicorn coloring pages helped keep them in bed when they woke up at 5 am (!!) (water bottle (here), and coloring book (here)… I just ripped out a few pages for each girl and put them inside the clip boards)

Overall I think I had as much fun putting this together as the girls did with the party :)
