"My work has been concerned, in varying modes of pictorial structure and various
degrees of representation and abstraction, with the effort to embody, and to
evoke, sates of mind, moods and emotions." H.L
Helen Lundeberg was a Southern California based painter who established the Post Surrealism movement with her husband Lorser Feitelson. She was born in Chicago in 1908 and died in Los Angeles in 1999.
Her work offers color that my eyes cannot get enough of. With geometric abstraction that feels based in an environment of reality, Lundeberg's work is repeatedly called poetic and lyrical. I can't think of a better way to describe it.
